Postdoctoral Fellow Siqi integrates high-throughput genetic screening and advanced imaging in human hepatocytes to identify therapeutic targets regulating lipid metabolism.
Postdoctoral Researcher Carley uses translational models of cardiometabolic disease to understand the physiologic basis of sex-specific disease states in people and animals. Outside of work, Carley loves to read, spend time with her family, and give back to the veterinary community.
Lab Manager Chelsea oversees the day-to-day logistics and provides essential operational support that enables our research. Outside the lab, she enjoys playing games with family and friends and spending time with her many pets.
Staff Research Associate Michelle is interested in statistical modeling to interpret genetic disorders. Outside of the lab, she enjoys pilates, cafe hopping, and going to concerts.
Postdoctoral Researcher Tamar helps keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly. Outside the lab, she builds sealed terrariums and sharpens her problem-solving instincts on lethal killer sudoku puzzles.
Undergraduate student Alisa is learning how to perform genetic and causal inference analyses. In her free time, she enjoys skateboarding, playing frisbee, sim racing, and building random things at hackathons.
Undergraduate student Yuntian is applying single cell foundation models to discover driving genes in diabetes. He likes to play video games and listen to music in his free time.
Former Majithia Lab members have gone on to graduate training, medical school, postdoctoral research, industry roles, and research positions across academia and biotechnology.
